How It Works

This tool uses your browser's own built-in IANA time zone database (via JavaScript's Intl API) — the same data source browsers, operating systems, and most server software use. Daylight saving time is handled automatically and correctly for every location, since offsets are calculated fresh from the time zone rules rather than hardcoded.

Your reference location is detected automatically from your device's system time zone setting. Add up to 10 locations total to compare; click "Set as reference" on any row to change which one the differences are measured against. A row showing "Previous day" or "Next day" means that location's calendar date differs from the reference location's at this exact moment — common when comparing places many hours apart.

Everything updates live, once per second, entirely in your browser — no server requests are made after the page loads.

Examples & Common Use Cases

  • Scheduling a call between Manila, New York, and London? Add all three and see the current time and difference for each at a glance.
  • Add Sydney and Los Angeles to see how far apart their calendar dates are — often a full day apart depending on the time.
  • Switch to 24-hour format if that's more natural for your team.
